Our System

Our parking sensors are equipped with microcontrollers that act as the system’s eyes and ears. Using a combination of magnetic field detection and radar signals, they reliably identify when a parking spot is occupied. These microcontrollers continuously monitor the comings and goings of vehicles, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.

To efficiently transmit information, our system uses NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) and LoRa (Long Range) communication technologies:
- NB-IoT: Ideal for sending small data packets over long distances with minimal power consumption, making it perfect for parking lots of any size.
- LoRa: A complementary technology known for its ability to penetrate urban structures and maintain reliable communication, even in dense environments.
These messengers seamlessly deliver data from the sensors to our central radio station.

At the radio station, all data is securely transferred to the Fast Parking Cloud. Here, it is organized, analyzed, and stored. The cloud acts as a command center, processing and sorting parking occupancy data in real time.

Organized data is made accessible to parking operators and users through an intuitive desktop or mobile application. This interface provides real-time updates on parking availability, session details, and other essential metrics, ensuring a user-friendly experience.

Our system doesn’t just stop at monitoring—it actively enforces rules. If a parking violation occurs (e.g., a vehicle occupying a restricted spot), our engineers are immediately alerted. The situation is analyzed, and swift action is taken to resolve the issue, maintaining order and efficiency across the parking facility.

How Our IoT Parking Sensors Work
Fast Parking’s IoT sensors function like sophisticated metal detectors for vehicles. They detect large metal objects, such as cars, by sensing disruptions in the magnetic field. Here's how they operate in different scenarios:
The Standard Check
When a vehicle parks over a sensor, the magnetic field is disrupted.
This disruption signals that the parking spot is occupied.
Continuous Monitoring
As the vehicle remains parked, the sensor continues to monitor its presence, ensuring accurate session data is recorded.
Vacating the Spot
When the vehicle exits, the magnetic field returns to its normal state.
The sensor detects this change and updates the system, marking the spot as available.
